LLM Research Engineer, Model Optimization and Algorithms Development

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Build ground breaking server-based and on-device large machine learning capabilities and emerging innovations.
• Collaborate within a team of software developers and deep learning experts to optimize neural networks and related algorithms.
• Drive scientific investigations and experiments related to neural network model optimization and training.
• Overcome obstacles and uncertainties in a research environment through meticulous experimentation and analysis.

Requirements

• Experience developing, optimizing, or training large language models (LLMs), large computer vision models, or generative AI models.
• Software engineering skills in Python and general purpose system administration and infrastructure management abilities.
• History of applied research in neural network model optimization or training or a related area.
• Proven track record of driving scientific investigations and overcoming obstacles in a research environment.
• MS degree and 3+ years of proven experience.

Nice to Have

• Publication record at top AI/ML venues.
• Experience with network optimization algorithms, e.g., quantization and compression, sparsification, knowledge distillation, or NAS.
• Experience with languages such as C/C++, Java, Go, Swift, Rust, or Obj-C.
• Infrastructure management and debugging experience.
• Experimental rigor when training/evaluating DNNs for benchmarking neural network optimization algorithms.
• Strong communication and accountability skills; hard-working, strong work ethic, and collaboration abilities.
• PhD in a related field.

Qualifications

• MS degree with 3+ years of proven experience.
