About the Role

The Senior Full Stack Developer position involves designing, developing, and integrating business, big data, and data science applications with recent hands-on experience working with AWS services. The role requires system-level thinking, effective communication skills, and the ability to learn new technologies independently. The position is based in Minneapolis, MN, and requires local candidates for on-site interviews.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and integrate business, big data, and data science applications.
Work with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge, Step Functions, Aurora, S3, and API Gateway.
Develop Angular applications and REST APIs using Java and SQL.
Automate application deployment, continuous delivery, and continuous integration using tools like Git, GitLab, and Jenkins.
Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies and manage backlogs with tools such as JIRA or VersionOne.
Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
Pick up new technologies and provide tangible results.

Requirements

BS/MS degree, preferably in a technical or scientific field.
5-7 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and running business, big data, or data science applications.
1-2+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS as a developer.
Experience developing Angular applications.
Proficiency in Java, SQL, and building REST APIs.
Experience with AWS managed services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge, Step Functions, Aurora, S3, and API Gateway.
Experience developing infrastructure-as-code using AWS tools like Cloud Development Kit or CloudFormation.
Experience with automating deployment, continuous delivery, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with backlog management tools like JIRA or VersionOne.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to understand and direct complex technology integrations.

Nice to Have

Experience with design patterns and implementation for machine learning and data science products.
Experience with microservices architecture and loose coupling of front-end modules on AWS.
Experience deploying and managing infrastructures with Docker, OpenShift, and AWS.
Knowledge of data engineering and big data technologies.
Experience with Redux / Flux / NgRx store implementation.
Experience developing, testing, and deploying APIs using Python frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or GraphQL.
Experience writing complex SQL queries involving joins and subqueries, and working with SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
Experience with AWS Machine Learning tools such as SageMaker.
Experience with data visualization frameworks like D3.
Understanding of business outcomes and focus on delivering value.
Strong teamwork skills.
