About the Role

The Self-Directed (SD) Marketing Analytics team at Vanguard is seeking an experienced analytics manager to support the Personal Investor Marketing team. The role involves leading a team of analysts to deliver strategic insights across digital, marketing, and operational domains, bridging business strategy and data science to translate complex data into actionable solutions that drive performance and innovation. Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and coach analysts to elevate technical and storytelling capabilities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation in analytics tools and methods.
  • Direct a portfolio of analytics projects aligned with business goals, translating business needs into analytical frameworks and project plans, and providing expert consulting to stakeholders across departments.
  • Oversee the design and execution of advanced analyses using statistical and machine learning techniques, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and relevance across all reporting outputs.
  • Lead the development of dashboards, visualizations, and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Champion experimentation and data-driven decision-making, supporting initiatives such as Synthetic Testing Users (STU) and multivariate testing to optimize user experience and campaign performance.
  • Partner with teams in Marketing, CXD, Engineering, and Finance to deliver integrated insights, coordinate cross-divisional data projects, and resolve operational challenges.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or business intelligence.
  • Proven ability to manage analytics projects and teams, directly or indirectly.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; master's or PhD preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Python, Adobe Analytics, and cloud platforms like AWS and Snowflake.
  • 3+ years of experience building and presenting executive-level PowerPoint presentations.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of digital and marketing principles and strategies, including A/B testing, multivariate testing, multi-armed bandit, and Synthetic Testing Users (STU).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with multivariate testing and experimentation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics and digital marketing strategies.
  • Experience working in a hybrid work environment.
