About the Role

Walmart Creative Studio (WCS) is the in-house creative agency for Walmart, focused on developing innovative omnichannel brand design systems that meet customer needs and drive business objectives. The team emphasizes creativity and design to make Walmart an obvious choice for all, with a focus on the customer experience across all channels, categories, campaigns, and touchpoints. The role involves conceptualizing and executing stories across multiple channels, primarily for Express & Subscriptions service-led campaigns, requiring a strong background in advertising, copywriting, and creative storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ideate, create, and execute 360 campaign creative across all channels (owned & paid) inspired by creative and business briefs.
  • Pursue ways that the team can work better, faster.
  • Manage projects that are on-brief and polished, mitigating feedback, and keeping workstreams on track.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, culture, and consumer behaviors to inform creative decisions and maintain the brand's competitive edge.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and craft throughout the design and implementation process, ensuring the final output meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Consistently apply brand voice and visual ID guide best practices for brand and seasonal connectivity, attribution, and impact.
  • Manage services projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in creative writing, advertising, or related field.
  • 5+ years of copywriting experience in a professional advertising agency in a senior role.
  • Proven track record of creating successful 360 campaigns.
  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing creative writing and conceptual thinking.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard creative tools and software including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Slides, and Figma.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate partners and connect across teams.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment leading campaigns.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Content Management Systems.
  • Managing interactive projects in an online creative or related digital field.
  • Working for or with creative agencies.
  • Proficiency in advanced functions of Design Software (e.g., multi-layer masking and compositing in Adobe Creative Suite).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Marketing, Creative Writing, Advertising, Fine Arts, or related field.
  • 1 year of experience in interactive design, editorial content management, or related field OR 3 years of experience in interactive design, editorial content management, or related field.
