Job Description

About the Role

The Manager, Marketing Analytics at Publicis Groupe is responsible for developing and delivering advanced ML/AI-based products and analytic solutions to support the agency's global media engagement with Mars, Inc. This role involves technical and effective delivery of analytic solutions in areas such as connected measurement, KPI forecasting, experimental design, and media optimization. The position is hybrid, based in Chicago or New York City, and requires an experienced marketing/data science practitioner with expertise in data engineering and ML/AI modeling, particularly within CPG and service-based industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop ML/AI-based data products and analytic solutions that support the Publicis CoreAI workflows and the OneMars Measurement and Optimization roadmap.
  • Partner with technical teams to assess and enhance current data science capabilities supporting media and marketing planning and operations.
  • Create Proof-of-Concepts to evaluate new tools and enhance existing AI-based analytic data products.
  • Translate product and output requirements into AI/ML solution architecture, tools, tasks, and code to improve the CoreAI offering.
  • Write high-quality, scalable, and efficient code using multiple programming languages and frameworks to solve business problems.
  • Model data across multiple domains and platforms, applying understanding of elastic scale to build highly available analytic systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product strategists, data engineers, and business analysts to develop and implement AI/ML features.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
  • Stay current with trends and best practices in marketing science, and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and industry thought leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing data science and advanced analytics.
  • Experience developing AI/ML analytic solutions in fast-paced, innovation-driven organizations within categories such as e-commerce, retail, entertainment, media, travel, or advertising platforms/services.
  • Hands-on coding experience demonstrating proficiency in multiple programming languages and development tools.
  • Experience building products used by other developers.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with agile and other progressive development methodologies.
  • Advanced degrees (M.Sc./PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related fields.
  • Certifications in analytics or data science such as AWS Certified Data Analytics or Certified Analytics Professional.
