Manager, Software Engineering (Mobile Development) - Hybrid

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a technical group responsible for developing software, driving efforts to improve quality, and conducting reviews of architecture, design, code, and testing strategy.
• Maintain, enhance, design, and develop software systems responsible for all core business functions, with a focus on robustness, resilience, and high performance.
• Assist in hiring and retaining team talent, providing regular feedback to support professional growth and development.
• Monitor work progress to ensure development projects remain on schedule, managing issues and risks.
• Be available for testing and support on scheduled deployment dates following the standardized change management process.
• Evaluate and select process and logic patterns, programming language constructs, data storage methods, and operating environment interfaces to satisfy business requirements.
• Collaborate with tech leads, architects, systems engineers, project managers, systems administrators, and operations analysts to deploy, implement, and troubleshoot solutions.
• Ensure software development and system changes adhere to company controls.
• Analyze current software platforms, including performance diagnosis and troubleshooting of technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 5 years of relevant software development experience at the lead or principal level.
• 1+ year experience managing or leading software engineers/developers.
• Experience with React Native and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of Android app development.
• Experience with industry standard IDEs such as Visual Studio.
• Experience in software configuration management using GIT and Enterprise GitHub.
• Experience consuming REST APIs.
• Experience using Jira or other project management software.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., DB2/UDB, Oracle, MySQL, SQLite).
• Experience working under multiple operating systems like Windows, UNIX (Sun Solaris and Linux), and UNIX Shell scripting.
• Experience with TeamCity for continuous integration and deployment in on-premise and GCP environments.
• Experience in production support activities, monitoring, and troubleshooting production issues.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting system requirements.
