About the Role

MillerKnoll is looking for a Manhattan Active Omni Software Engineer - Retail to join our Digital Engineering and Platforms team. As a Software Engineer - Retail, you will own and support existing customizations as well as scoping, designing, and configuring new features and functionality in our retail systems environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Be a part of a team that is developing and integrating digital-first solutions to meet growing customer demand.
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive best practice adoption in Manhattan Active Omni Order Management, ensuring optimal use of application features to support scalable and efficient fulfillment operations.
  • Contribute to configuration, design, and technical analysis efforts, leveraging knowledge of Manhattan Active Omni POS, OMS, and WMS to guide enhancements and ensure alignment across business stakeholders.
  • Engage in Agile development practices through sprint activities, scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and cross-training sessions, using Jira for workflow tracking and team alignment.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and business experts to review bugs/issues, advise on platform capabilities, and design solutions for non-standard requirements.
  • Assist in facilitating training sessions and providing guidance to end users on effective utilization of SCI reporting.
  • Maintain documentation for customizations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Participate in verification and testing of system build deployments.
  • Review escalated system issues/bugs from the Helpdesk team to determine if technical changes are required and propose solutions.
  • Assist with security audit tasks by providing reporting and necessary data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience applying Manhattan Active Omni solutions in retail environments, including collaboration as a client, systems integrator, or former Manhattan Associates employee.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience configuring and/or customizing Manhattan Active Order Management system.
  • 3-5 years' experience with retail systems such as POS, WMS, OMS, and integrations.
  • Overall understanding and experience with microservices applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of Manhattan Active Omni areas including enterprise inventory, order routing, fulfillment, payment processing, pricing, customer service operations.
  • Java knowledge for managing and troubleshooting extensions.
  • Experience working in a SOX and PCI compliant organization.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban).
  • SQL knowledge and relational database principles.
  • Experience with integrations, API management, REST, OpenAPI, gRPC, and third-party services such as payment gateways, tax services, and gift card providers.
  • Strong analysis skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with Windows environment, HTML, JavaScript, XML, JSON, version control, SOAP, ReST/oData, SQL.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Postman and programming against protocols/frameworks such as REST, OpenAPI, gRPC.
  • Experience writing integrations into third-party services.
  • Version control experience.
