About the Role

Fitness Formula Clubs (FFC) owns and operates 10 upscale, mid and large size multi-use health, sports fitness and spa centers in the Chicago area. They provide a range of services including corporate wellness programs, nutrition therapy, group fitness, spa treatments, personal and group training, physical therapy, and rehabilitation. FFC is recognized for creating a distinct member experience delivered by professional staff and supports the local community through its locations. The company is seeking a Marketing & Social Media Intern for the 2025-2026 school year to gain hands-on experience in the fitness and wellness industry, focusing on digital storytelling and marketing tools.

Key Responsibilities

Creating and scheduling content across FFC's social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Growing and managing content on FFC's TikTok to drive engagement and followers.
Attending and assisting with in-person club and community events, including some evenings and weekends.
Capturing and organizing user-generated and in-house content for marketing use.
Fielding and editing short-form video content for use on social platforms.
Promoting in-club and community events through social media and digital outreach.
Brainstorming and pitching creative ideas to grow engagement and community presence online.

Requirements

Passion for health, wellness, and digital storytelling.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Prior internship or classroom experience in social media or marketing is a plus.
Proactive self-starter with creativity, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
Ability to work part-time (15-20 hours/week) with flexibility based on school requirements.
Experience or familiarity with marketing tools like Later, ActiveCampaign, and Canva is a plus.

Nice to Have

Experience with social media content creation and management.
Experience with short-form video content editing.
Experience in event marketing or community outreach.
