Maximo System Developer/DBA

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support all project sites related to Maximo to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to end users and senior leadership.
• Align Maximo with business needs by establishing and executing requirements from line of business customers to established standards.
• Support the Maximo DB2 database to ensure maximum uptime for all programs.
• Monitor DB2 logs and server disk space, and make recommendations to optimize database performance.
• Perform database refreshes of development and test environments to support the Maximo team.
• Provide regular and accurate reporting on business requirements and ensure proper integration with Maximo Service and Support.
• Make recommendations for Service Improvement Plans and ensure actions are completed on time.
• Support Maximo in program implementations, assist in module testing, and provide post-implementation support.
• Travel as needed to assist with program start-ups and post-implementation support.
• Support efforts for continual improvement of the Maximo environment.
• Work with internal and external teams to plan, execute, and complete actions to protect and improve Maximo at all levels.
• Act as an ambassador for Maximo, communicating effectively across business and customer lines to build relationships and enhance partnership.
• Assist in analyzing Maximo data, program work order flow, and identify areas for process improvement.
• Maintain Maximo automation scripts, workflows, and BIRT reports.
• Handle user requests related to reports, functionality, and administration tasks.
• Provide training and process improvements for Maximo and program employees, including support for the V2X mobile solution.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Science, or Math.
• At least 5 years' experience in Maximo Asset Management or related CMMS systems.
• At least 5 years' experience with DB2 database administration.
• Strong working knowledge of BIRT reporting, Maximo automation scripts, workflows, and configuration support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related applications.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
• Strong knowledge of Maximo and CMMS systems.
• Excellent customer-facing and customer service skills.
• Excellent people management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and demonstrate flexibility, including after-hours work.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively and demonstrate initiative.

Nice to Have

• Certification in IBM Maximo Asset Management product family.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Maximo Asset Management or related CMMS systems.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with DB2 database administration.
