This role is part of Enterprise Payments Technology (EPT), a global payments team providing financial platforms and services, including Merchant Solutions, Card Issuing, Digital Wallets, Transfers, Liability Payments, and Settlement. The position involves developing and delivering complex software solutions to meet business goals within the Merchant Business Software Suite (MBSS) program, which aims to provide scalable, customizable point-of-sale software across various industry verticals following a strategic acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
- Mentors other software engineers and coaches the team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and automating tool stacks.
- Executes story refinement, defines requirements, and estimates work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle.
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
- Automates manual release activities.
- Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
Requirements
- Contribute to story refinement and defining requirements.
- Participate and guide the team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
- Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
- 5+ years experience coding solutions and unit testing to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
- Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements.
- Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
- 5+ years experience designing, developing, and modifying architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
- Set up and develop a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline.
- Automate manual release activities.
- Mentor other Software Engineers and coach team on CI/CD practices and automating tool stack.
