About the Role

Mid-Level Azure Developer supporting the HHS HRSA customer, responsible for building, testing, validating, and demonstrating a complete TIC 3.0 environment with Akamai SASE and Azure services. The role involves supporting migration of cloud-hosted applications, ensuring security compliance, providing technical support, and collaborating with teams and stakeholders to deliver secure cloud solutions in Azure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of engineers and SMEs to build, test, validate, and demonstrate a complete TIC 3.0 environment with Akamai SASE and Azure services.
  • Support the migration of existing cloud-hosted applications to the new TIC 3.0 environment in Azure.
  • Support Federal Security Impact Assessment (SIA) and Authorize to Operate (ATO) processes for the new solution.
  • Assist with technical support in Change Management processes impacting the production environment.
  • Build reports for cost estimates related to migration based on current utilization.
  • Develop required logging requirements (e.g., splunk, CISA Talon Claw, solarwinds, uptime) with team, customers, and SMEs.
  • Document and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Perform migration activities from legacy cloud environment to new environment.
  • Document System Security Plan/controls to meet NIST 800-53 requirements.
  • Create technical implementation plans and present for customer approval.
  • Collaborate with Program and Project management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Attend team and customer meetings.
  • Perform post-migration activities including issue remediation.
  • Provide training on migration, administration, maintenance, support, and operational use of the solution.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
  • Resolve technical problems and provide on-call support outside of business hours.
  • Provide weekly and on-demand status reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related STEM field and at least 3 years of experience working in a Multi-Cloud (Azure) DevOps environment.
  • Certified in at least one or more Azure technologies or have equivalent demonstrable experience in deploying Azure Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell, and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong experience writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates, Bicep, and/or Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD and building deployment pipelines.
  • Familiar with Containers (AKS, Docker, and/or Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Azure Networking (Firewalls, Load Balancers, VNets, NSGs, WAF).
  • Experience working with Azure Virtual Machines and Storage.
  • Experience with alerting and monitoring tools such as Events Hub and Log Analytics Workspace.
  • Familiar with IDP, OKTA, and providing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust MBI(T2) and pass a government background screening, including fingerprinting.
  • Must have resided in the United States in the past three of five years.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
  • Knowledge of SCRUM and Kanban Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with MS Teams Planner, ServiceNow, and JIRA.
  • Experience with HHS agencies or entities.
  • Strong technical skills and analytic abilities, including system security analysis and risk management.
  • Experience performing complex technical tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Experience translating system and application understanding into test plans and performing hands-on testing.
  • Ability to communicate vulnerability results and risk posture to stakeholders.
  • Broad knowledge of Azure best practices, policies, and guidance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related STEM field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Multi-Cloud (Azure) DevOps environment.
  • Azure certifications or equivalent experience in deploying Azure IaC.
