About the Role

Become a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat. Key Responsibilities

Work in a collaborative environment developing internal model frameworks and supporting application development.
Perform internal tactical to model conversion and support modernization efforts through coding language translation.
Support deliverable documentation of models developed after verification and validation efforts.

Requirements

BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related STEM field with minimum of 2 years relevant professional work experience.
Active U.S. DoD security clearance.
Current GMD/GWS experience.
Experience writing code and compiling software programs in Ada, C++, Java, or Python.
Experience debugging and troubleshooting software programs.
Familiarity with automated software testing tools and methods.
Unix/Linux Operating System experience.
Strong decision making and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Ability to work in an office in a closed-area work environment.
Ability and willingness to travel 10% to support business needs.

Nice to Have

MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related STEM field.
Security+ certification.
GMD/MDA Experience.
Experience in Product Owner or Scrum Master roles.
Experience in C++/Java/Ada Software Development.
Experience with UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experience in IBM Rational DOORS system software.
Experience in Atlassian Jira software.
Experience in Integrated Digital Engineering Environments.
Experience in Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Software Development.
Experience with continuous integration and delivery in accordance with DevSecOps processes and best practices.
Experience with Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, HELM).
Experience writing automated software tests.
A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
