About the Role

Join GDIT and be part of the Unified Claims Acceleration Platform (UCAP) solution, where your work accelerates claims processing for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Our mission is to transform the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) into a paperless, AI-enabled organization, supporting Veterans with fast, transparent claims, empowered teams, and a zero backlog. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and validate complex workflow using Pega
  • Integrate data exchanges with multiple VA systems
  • Collaborate with all Scrum Teams to decompose workflow functionality and develop changes and customizations across UCAP
  • Work one-on-one with Technical and Functional Leads for workflow automation
  • Review and audit solutions design and implementation to ensure functional delivery compliance and cyber security posture
  • Review test results for compliance against defined workflow requirements
  • Support detailed API discussions with VA Partner Systems
  • Utilize professional judgment, critical thinking skills, and research to improve processes and resolve issues affecting program performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business related field, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline with at least 5+ years of experience
  • At least 2+ years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying Pega solutions to support workflow automation
  • Understanding and experience with Agile & Lean principles & methodologies for application development
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking skills to resolve operational issues and identify risks and mitigation
  • Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to business leaders
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process

Nice to Have

  • One or more Pega certifications is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of VA systems is preferred

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting workflow automation with Pega solutions
  • Knowledge of Agile & Lean principles & methodologies
