About the Role

The Senior Platform DevOps Engineer at Booz Allen is responsible for developing, managing, and securing container and virtualization platforms that leverage cloud capabilities. The role involves supporting clients in adopting and managing containers, improving cloud environments with current container software, and ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. The engineer will use their technical skills to influence mission-forward change and support the development of critical cloud platforms, working with the latest cloud technologies to enhance client environments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop container and virtualization management software to solve clients' challenges.
Support the team by informing strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.
Recommend resources to help clients manage and securely adopt containers.
Use cloud platform technology to improve client environments and support cloud platform development.
Support troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness.
Develop enterprise cloud-native solutions and manage container security.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in developing tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity, including automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and releasing across environments.
5+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness.
Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions.
Experience developing, managing, and securing containers.
Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment.
TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, or Azure.
Experience with creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks.
Experience with creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes.
Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Linux Shell Script.
Master's degree.

TS/SCI clearance.
