Power BI Developer - Plymouth Meeting, PA (On-site)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
• Utilize Microsoft Fabric for end-to-end data analytics, including data engineering and data warehousing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document data requirements.
• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all BI solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest BI trends and Microsoft technologies, including MS Fabric. Assist in the development and documentation of BI standards and best practices, with a focus on Microsoft tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• MCSA in Power BI preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a BI developer role.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling).
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics).
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Dataflows, etc.).
• Experience with BI reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Understanding of Microsoft Fabric, including its components (Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Power BI integration).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Dataflows.
• Knowledge of general business policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various technical and business documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• MCSA in Power BI preferred.
• 3+ years of BI developer experience.
