About the Role

Red Arch Solutions is seeking a Principal Cloud Consultant to join their Maryland team. The role involves guiding clients through their cloud adoption, migration, and optimization journeys on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AWS services, best practices, and architecture, coupled with exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Guide clients through cloud adoption, migration, and optimization on AWS.
Design, develop, test, and maintain web-based applications using AWS services.
Automate deployment of AWS-based architectures using DevOps practices, including automated testing and CI/CD.
Define and develop interfaces for various data sources using relational and non-relational database technologies.
Lead multiple simultaneous development efforts or technology initiatives.

Requirements

Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web-based applications using AWS services.
Prefer experience using AWS managed services such as Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, Amazon EKS, Amazon ECS.
Containerization and container orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
Scripting and automation experience using Python.
Experience defining interfaces for data sources using relational and non-relational databases.
Infrastructure as Code experience (AWS CDK or Terraform).
Full stack web development experience preferred, but not required.
JavaScript/TypeScript experience preferred, but not required.
10+ years experience in technical and complex project management.
3 years experience with migration to AWS and optimization.
Ability to lead multiple development efforts or initiatives.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
