Principal C#/.NET Developer with some C++ -- REMOTE WORK -- 64950

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Own the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of features and services from concept to delivery
• Ensure high code quality, performance, and maintainability by following best practices and conducting thorough code reviews, automated testing, and performance monitoring
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, to define and deliver features that meet both business and technical objectives
• Proactively identify areas for improvement within the codebase, infrastructure, and development process, and drive solutions that increase team efficiency and code quality
• Monitor the health and performance of services, and ensure timely resolution of issues and bugs
• Stay current with new technologies and trends to ensure the systems built are modern, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices

Requirements

• 10 - 13 years of experience in C#, .NET, and/or C++
• Experience in handling legacy codebases, including refactoring and enabling additional capabilities without breaking existing functionality
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and design scalable, maintainable solutions
• Ability to understand complex architectures and infrastructure, particularly in Microsoft Azure
• Experience managing complex datasets, optimization, and data modeling, preferably in MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
• Mentoring other engineers
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices such as BDD, TDD, unit testing, and code reviews
