About the Role

At SpotOn, we're helping restaurants and small businesses compete and win with flexible payment and software technology-backed by real people who really care. From seamless point-of-sale systems to integrated restaurant management solutions, every SpotOn tool is designed to help local businesses increase profits and create better experiences for their customers and employees. We are looking for a driven and curious Product Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to analyze product performance, customer behavior, and other product trends. You will partner with Product to shape strategy, improve the user experience, and support data-informed decision-making. You will be the subject matter expert in your domain, owning success measurement, data development, and visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

Develop flexible, maintainable data models that enable faster analysis and decision-making.
Identify and resolve data discrepancies and investigate data oddities.
Build intuitive reports to monitor product health and performance, collecting and implementing feedback to ensure reports drive value.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to drive the business forward.
Investigate unexpected metric movements, identify future opportunities, and provide data-backed recommendations.

Requirements

Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries to extract insights.
Experience with BI tools such as dbt, Heap, Metabase, and Power BI.
Experience of 2-3 years in business analytics, product analytics, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field of study.
Operating with a bias toward sharing, transparency, and collaboration.
Ability to solve problems proactively and get things done without waiting for perfect conditions.
Thriving in fast-paced environments, embracing ambiguity, and taking initiative.

Nice to Have

Experience with Python or Jinja.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field of study
2-3 years of experience in business analytics, product analytics, or a related field
