About the Role

Palantir builds the world's leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. We are seeking a multidisciplinary Concept Designer to join our Product Design team and be the visual storyteller for our defense product concepts. The role involves rapidly producing mockups, imagery, videos, and interactive prototypes to bring ideas to life, serving as a bridge between product development, marketing, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

Making conceptual narratives, often with quick turnaround, including taking requirements for a software product and delivering high-level UI concepts.
Bringing to life the vision of what a product could be through creative direction and producing assets across multiple channels and mediums such as software interface mockups, digital illustrations, diagrams, architecture visuals, abstract graphics, websites, 2D/3D animations, and short videos.
Contributing to the development of product launch (Go-To-Market) materials.
Contributing to the development of visualization techniques and styles.
Collaborating with business, engineering, product marketing, and product divisions.

Requirements

A multimedia portfolio demonstrating at least one software interface design project.
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and comfort with switching mediums and learning new programs.
Experience using Figma software.
Experience with video editing.
Eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance or having an active US Security clearance.
Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience.
Some experience in 3D modeling and 2D/3D animation is preferred.

Nice to Have

Master visual designer skills with UI/UX intuition and experience.
Strong visual storytelling ability.
Experience in motion design/animation.

Qualifications

Experience with software interface design projects.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with Figma.
Video editing skills.
Willingness to obtain or hold an active US Security clearance.
At least 2 years of relevant experience.
Some experience in 3D modeling and animation.
