Product Data Analyst We are looking for a Product Data Analyst to join our Analytics team in our Chicago office. In this role, you will be helping to operate and improve a key element of Adyen's solution: Financial Products. The team is looking for a highly motivated candidate for this role, who is flexible and can assist in a wide variety of activities. This role focuses on leveraging product performance data to drive enhancements in our solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate Actionable Insights: Employ statistical modeling and data mining techniques to uncover trends and patterns in user behavior and product performance that lead to actionable business insights.
  • Collaborate on Product Strategy: Work closely with the product management team to help shape the product strategy and roadmap based on insights gathered from data analysis.
  • Product Performance Advice: Regularly monitor and report on the performance of platform products, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions to enhance user satisfaction and engagement.
  • Leverage Big Data Technologies: Utilize advanced big data technologies such as Hadoop to manage and analyze large datasets, extracting meaningful insights that drive strategic decisions.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting: Use Looker to create interactive dashboards and reports that visually represent analytics findings. Share these insights with stakeholders across the organization to inform product enhancements and business strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key liaison between the analytics team and other departments, including finance, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment on key performance indicators and strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in data analytics or a related field.
  • Strong analytical mindset, skilled in uncovering patterns and making data-driven decisions using techniques like multivariate and time series analysis, and A/B testing.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, capable of managing large datasets and performing complex analyses in tools like Jupyter Notebook.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, focusing on those that provide significant impact and strategic advancement.
  • Strong project leadership and stakeholder influence, with a keen ability to advocate for and drive ideas forward.
  • Expertise in translating complex data into clear insights and recommendations, adept at crafting narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Competence in addressing open-ended challenges, spotting opportunities, and innovating under ambiguity.
  • Strategic thinking skills, focusing on long-term goals and integrating business insights into decision-making.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with other big data technologies beyond Hadoop.
  • Experience working in financial technology or similar industries.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools beyond Looker.

Qualifications

  • Relevant professional experience in data analytics (5-7 years).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R.
