This position reports to the Product Market Manager and involves coordinating sales activities, market research, and implementing product marketing strategies within the Electrification Distribution Solutions division, focusing on markets in Canada, Europe, Middle East, and Asia Pacific regions. The work model is remote, and the role contributes to the Electrification - Distribution Solutions Division in Pinetops, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sales activities, events, proposals, and market research to meet business goals and increase market share.
  • Implement product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy.
  • Collaborate with management to define strategic marketing plans and support their implementation, including communication and support to business units.
  • Collect data and provide market and competitor intelligence analyses related to global markets and trends.
  • Monitor market trends and recommend improvements in marketing strategies and plans to adapt to changing landscapes.
  • Support in defining the end-user value proposition and communicate it to target segments, both internal and external.
  • Drive sales efficiency by ensuring sales teams possess appropriate product and tool knowledge.
  • Visit customers to understand their needs and resolve customer issues.
  • Formulate complex proposals, providing suitable product/solution options while addressing technical and commercial considerations, ensuring timely and detailed proposals with accurate cost modeling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business Management (preferred).
  • 8 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Pricing, Business Development, or Engineering, working with Electrification products.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of quotations and proposals, and understanding of exports and the international market.
  • Familiarity with Canada, Europe, Middle East, and Asia Pacific regions and languages is beneficial but not required.
  • Travel up to 70%.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization permitting employment with ABB in the US.
