About the Role

UOP, part of Honeywell International Inc, is the recognized leader in developing and licensing process technology used by refiners and petrochemicals producers to make gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and the building blocks for plastic and other products. It also develops and sells catalysts, adsorbents, equipment, process plants and technical services. UOP is also a leader in natural gas treating technologies, and develops and manufactures catalysts, adsorbents, equipment and process plants and provides technical and consultative services to the oil and gas industry. The Project Management Specialist works in collaboration with the project manager and all functional groups within UOP, vendors, and customer representatives to ensure project requirements are met and projects are delivered successfully on time, within budget, and to stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support development of project plans, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables
  • Coordinate free issue material deliveries
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve issues or discrepancies throughout the project
  • Participate in internal and customer meetings to support manufacturing and assembly inquiries
  • Provide feedback to project management and engineering on developments and concerns impacting schedule, cost, and quality
  • Ensure the incorporation of customer specifications
  • Review and approve vendor invoices for payment and manage vendor deliverables
  • Ensure procurement of structure, piping, equipment, valves, and instrumentation based on schedule and specifications
  • Meet project schedule, budget, and quality requirements as defined in performance metrics
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, engineering, fabrication, or operations
  • Strong guiding and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and people-oriented skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Proficient in project management software and tools
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in petroleum refining, petrochemical, and/or gas processing industries
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements
  • Strong thoughtful and critical thinking skills
