Job Description

About the Role

This position is for the 2025 Fall semester and involves participating in staff meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborating with various departments and company leaders. The role includes research, content creation, representing Georgia Farm Bureau at events, creating ads and social media graphics, assisting with photoshoots and video shoots, supporting the corporate sponsorship program, managing the Georgia Farm Bureau Company Store, gathering analytics data, and organizing branding materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in staff meetings and brainstorming sessions, taking notes and presenting new ideas.
  • Attend meetings with other departments and company leaders, sometimes at the executive level.
  • Research and write content for social media campaigns.
  • Represent Georgia Farm Bureau at events and trade shows.
  • Create ads and social media graphics using templates and Adobe Creative Suite: primarily Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Assist with photoshoots and video shoots as needed for GFB platforms.
  • Assist with duties for the GFB's corporate sponsorship program.
  • Assist with Georgia Farm Bureau Company Store, including placing orders, keeping inventory, and shipping items.
  • Gather analytics data on campaign performance and present to the team.
  • Catalog and organize branding materials for effective use.

Requirements

  • High school graduate.
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at Mercer University.
  • Understanding of fundamentals in corporate design, including effectively utilizing Adobe Creative Suite and maintaining brand integrity.
  • Ability to inspire, persuade, and motivate self and others under a shared vision.
  • Use innovative thinking to go beyond traditional methods.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information from diverse sources and individuals to understand problems and make recommendations.
  • Willingness to embrace a wide variety of development opportunities to become a well-rounded leader.
  • Ability to build relationships with a wide variety of professionals across the state.
  • Effectively advocate for a brand and influence perceptions of its importance.
  • Must be able to travel to Georgia Farm Bureau events as necessary (in-state only).
  • Occasionally may be asked to help set up trade show space, so must be able to lift at least 15 lbs.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite: primarily Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Experience in managing social media accounts: primarily Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate.
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at Mercer University.
