About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI
• Architect and document complex backend systems with clear system design documents (data flows, diagrams, specifications)
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle
• Optimize for performance and scalability in a microservices-based architecture
• Deploy and manage services using AWS (ECS) and Docker
• Work with PostgreSQL and Snowflake for data storage and analytics
• Use Poetry for dependency management and packaging
• Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps practices

Requirements

• 10+ years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and API development
• Experience with FastAPI or similar modern Python frameworks
• Proven ability to design and document complex systems
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems and microservices
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and ECS
• Strong skills in SQL, especially with PostgreSQL and Snowflake
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with event-driven architecture
• Background in enterprise SaaS or cloud-native platforms
