About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for software engineering projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Review and analyze intricate, multi-faceted, larger-scale, or long-term software engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of various factors, including unprecedented scenarios or intangible elements.
• Contribute to resolving complex, multi-faceted situations by applying a solid understanding of software development principles, organizational policies, compliance requirements, and project deliverables.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure effective communication between stakeholders and development teams.
• Design and architect scalable and efficient Python-based solutions for enterprise-level applications, incorporating best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Involved with development and maintenance of software systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards, performance benchmarks, and security protocols.
• Work with junior developers by providing technical expertise, conducting code reviews, and promoting knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in Python development, frameworks, and tools, and advocate for the adoption of cutting-edge technologies where appropriate.
• Involved with the integration of third-party APIs, libraries, and services into existing systems to enhance functionality and user experience.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software design, implementation, and operational procedures.
• Drive the implementation of Agile methodologies within the team to improve development velocity, quality, and collaboration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA, and operations, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis of system issues and implement robust solutions to improve system reliability and performance.
• Manage and optimize cloud-based resources and infrastructure for Python applications to achieve cost efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field of study.
• 5 years' experience in the job offered or related position with similar duties.
• 1 year experience developing, maintaining, and optimizing data processing applications using Python.
• Experience performing data analysis to ensure data quality.
• Experience developing quality code and conducting thorough reviews on code.
• Experience working with API specifications and self-documenting code.
• Travel required to unanticipated client locations all over the United States.
