About the Role

The Quality Assurance Specialist (Deployable) is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a risk-based surveillance program and assessment plan related to the quality assurance provisions of contracts. The role involves supporting the U.S. Government's acquisition efforts by ensuring contractor compliance, analyzing data for process improvements, and providing technical support to the DCMA team. This position requires deployment overseas and involves working with diverse products and services to ensure quality standards are met across contractor facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain a risk-based surveillance program and assessment plan associated with contract quality assurance provisions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements by analyzing data.
  • Implement the overall Quality Program for diverse products and services to support the U.S. Government's acquisition at one or more supplier facilities.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with design, manufacturing, repair, overhaul, and modernization requirements.
  • Independently audit and survey contractor processes to ensure compliance with customer and contractual requirements.
  • Investigate customer complaints and concerns about contractor quality performance and processes impacting user satisfaction, and provide data about the complaints.
  • Provide technical support to DCMA team members, assisting with analyzing contractual issues and determining the best course of action.

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid state driver's license.
  • Security clearance: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access.
  • Ability to obtain a passport/VISA and pass a medical/dental examination, including a pre-employment exam and annual physicals.
  • Must meet medical criteria for deployment, including immunization screening (e.g., Anthrax, Smallpox, COVID).
  • Must be able to lift 45 pounds.
  • Must be exempt from recall to the military Reserves.
  • Registration or exemption from Selective Service (for males born after 12-31-59).
  • One year of specialized experience applying quality assurance concepts, evaluating contractor processes, and analyzing quality data.
  • Alternatively, a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three years of graduate education in related fields such as quality assurance, statistics, engineering, or physical sciences.
  • Ability to meet conditions of employment, including background checks and suitability determinations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with statistical and quality data analysis evaluations.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices in government or private sector environments.
  • Experience working in or supporting military or government contracting environments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education in quality assurance, engineering, or related fields preferred.
  • Graduate education (e.g., Ph.D., LL.M.) in relevant fields can substitute for experience.
  • Accredited college or university transcripts required if qualifying via education.
  • Current licenses and certifications must be maintained at the time of application.
