Job Description

About the Role

As a FedEx Intern, you will be working on projects gaining you valuable, real-world experience in a professional environment as it relates to your field of study. The internship is designed to provide analytical support to drive efficiency, consistency, and control throughout current business initiatives, with opportunities to research industry trends, analyze business metrics, and contribute to long-term solutions that impact the business and customer experience. The role is hybrid, based in Plano, TX, Pittsburgh, PA, or Memphis, TN, and involves participating in networking and community service events.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with providing analytical support to drive efficiency, consistency, and control throughout current business initiatives.
Assist with industry market research, global business intelligence, and emerging trends analysis.
Analyze specific business metrics and research/analyze data, industry trends, and market information to gain insight into transportation and logistics metrics in identified industry verticals.
Present and deliver long-term solutions that will have significant impacts to the business and/or customer experience.
Participate in various networking and/or community service events.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) at a college/university obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Degree in a Master's program such as Business, Finance/Economics, Computer Science, Management, Project Management, Information Systems, Operations Management, Operations Research, Supply Chain/Logistics, Transportation, Engineering, Technology, Math, Marketing or related major.
Ability to work productively and proactively, both independently and as part of a team.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills.
Time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy.
Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate across business units and all levels of management.
Availability to work 40 hours/week for a 10-week program from June 8th to August 14th.

Nice to Have

Sponsorship for full-time, exempt positions may be available depending on role and federal regulations.
Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of the internship location.

Qualifications

GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Enrollment in or recent graduation from a relevant master's degree program.

Benefits & Perks

Pay rate of $30/hour for graduates.
A $2,000 stipend available for those relocating over 50 miles for an on-site or hybrid internship or co-op experience.
