About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and support AWS cloud-based geospatial software processing applications.
• Work within Agile development teams to support solutions developed by L3Harris's Space Ground Solutions (SGS) group.
• Provide solutions with strong knowledge of job area and broad project management understanding.
• Design, develop, and test software applications for large-scale operational systems.
• Guide, coach, and train other employees within the job area.
• Make moderate to substantial improvements or enhancements to systems and processes to improve performance.
• Communicate within and outside of own function or business area, including external parties.
• Work with DevOps team to design and deploy CI/CD pipelines in hybrid virtual machine and Kubernetes environments.
• Deliver automation to provision and deploy complex systems in commercial and private clouds.
• Utilize software languages such as Python, Ruby, and Groovy for automation customization.
• Document operations and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI or SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of software experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 10 years of experience, or at least 16 years of software experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 5 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including services such as EC2, S3, AMIs, and VPCs.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IAC) using Ansible and/or Puppet.
• Experience with open-source container platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Scripting experience in PowerShell or Python for automation tasks.
• Experience with Agile software development and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience using team collaboration tools like Confluence, Jira, and Git.
• Experience developing and deploying software via CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have

• Amazon Web Services Certification.
• CompTIA Security+ or higher certification.
• Experience working in Kubernetes environments.
• Experience with creating CI/CD process flows such as Jenkins or Gitlab-CI Pipelines.
• Familiarity with Platform One tools (Jira, Mattermost, Confluence, GitLab, Jenkins).
• Experience in a DevSecOps environment.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of software experience with a Bachelor's, or 10 years with a Graduate Degree, or 16 years without a degree.
