Its engineering department, known as the Bureau of Technology (BoT), consists of multiple product and support teams dedicated to developing and managing services that deliver value to customers and suppliers. Key Responsibilities

Help build and operate efficient, high cohesion, low coupling services with security and privacy by design to support business growth.
Work in an agile 'build it and run it' environment where engineering teams build, launch, monitor, and support their products.
Produce, innovate, and share by facilitating discussions around complex issues, suggesting improvements for existing designs, exploring impactful technologies, and contributing to high-impact migrations.
Ensure a seamless transition to new architectures with zero downtime and no revenue loss.
Reduce complexity and increase adaptability of the codebase, especially in the context of new country openings.
Guarantee high performance and reliability of production environments.

Requirements

Experience in building and operating distributed, service-oriented architectures.
Proficiency in Python with FastAPI framework, SQLAlchemy, Celery, and Golang.
Knowledge of data technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and BigQuery.
Familiarity with infrastructure tools like GCP, Kubernetes (GKE), Docker, Datadog, ArgoCD, CircleCI, and Github.
Ability to work in an international environment with fluency in English.
Strong team collaboration skills and a passion for creating clean, well-organized code.
Experience in managing complex technical migrations and ensuring high system performance.

Nice to Have

Experience with Django (being phased out).
Knowledge of security and privacy by design principles.
Experience with chaos migration and scaling systems for international expansion.

Qualifications

Relevant experience in backend engineering, particularly with distributed systems.
Proficiency in Python and related frameworks, along with data and infrastructure tools.
