Senior Data Analyst, Pilot Resources

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Use out-of-the-box analytical approaches to wrangle large datasets using Python, SQL, etc. to identify opportunities and understand performance.
• Develop dynamic dashboards, interactive reports, and compelling visualizations that bring operational business insights to life.
• Design predictive models and data-driven solutions to support improvement in Crew Resources, Crew Operations, and financial performance.
• Work alongside Managers and Operational Leaders to integrate learning analytics with broader business data.
• Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, models, and reporting.
• Translate complex analytics into impactful insights that shape Delta's approach to pilot development and operational excellence.
• Leverage AI, machine learning, and cutting-edge tools to customize pilot training.
• Support and maintain team ETL pipelines to ensure optimized and accurate outputs.

Requirements

• 18+ months in data analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Information Science, mathematics, statistics, economics or other relevant quantitative field.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, SAS, SQL).
• Advanced level of skill in data manipulation using programming language.
• Ability to create complex queries.
• Strong statistical analysis, predictive modeling, problem solving and organizational capabilities.
• Meticulous attention to details that ensures data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with FAA regulations and Delta's internal standards.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
• Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, or other relevant quantitative field.
• Advanced analytical applications (e.g., simulation, optimization, statistical analysis, machine learning).
