Senior Data Scientist, Product Fraud

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Combine knowledge of fraud risk and market risk to improve our understanding of risk exposure to Instant Deposit, and partner with product managers to set the product strategy.
• Perform exploratory analysis and build monitoring dashboards on large scale datasets to assess the Instant Deposit product from the lens of revenue-risk trade off, and decomposition of different risk dimensions.
• Partner with other data scientists and software engineers in designing machine learning systems to power decisions in offering Instant Deposit access that is customized to customers and asset classes.
• Launch modeling solutions through A/B experimentation, extract insights from experiment outcomes to drive future strategy.

Requirements

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field like mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering or natural sciences.
• 5+ years of relevant experience as a data scientist or quantitative analyst.
• Familiarity with ACH fraud and market risk of various assets, including equity, option, crypto, futures.
• In-depth knowledge of quantitative finance models, including but not limited to asset volatility models, and options pricing models.
• Strong data wrangling skills to produce analytics insights by exploring large scale data sets using SQL and Spark.
• Experience with experimentation and communicating data driven insights.
• Problem solving skills and a can-do attitude to dive deep into data to solve business problems.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on fraud detection or risk mitigation in financial services.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and tools relevant to fraud and risk analysis.
• Experience with real-time data processing and large-scale data infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Educational background in a quantitative field such as mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering or natural sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a data scientist or quantitative analyst.
