About the Role

Exiger is seeking a motivated, self-driven Senior Devops Engineer to join their Product and Technology team in Jersey City, New Jersey. The company specializes in building cognitive-computing based technology solutions to help organizations worldwide prevent compliance breaches, respond to risk, remediate major issues, and monitor ongoing business activities. The role involves working with a growing team of developers, data scientists, and QA engineers on maintaining existing services and infrastructure, as well as building the next generation of their engineering stack. Key Responsibilities

Development and maintenance of infrastructure as code (IaC) base
Maintain and deploy Exiger microservices and dependent applications through IaC
Advocate, coordinate, and collaborate on internal infrastructure upgrades and maintenance
Utilize logging, monitoring, and alerting tools to maintain and improve system health across multiple AWS deployments
Develop and manage package deployments of on-premises and cloud instances of Ion Channel
Develop and improve CI/CD and DevOps workflows using Travis CI, Docker, and AWS
Use GitHub for code reviews of team member pull requests

Requirements

Experience with cloud hosting platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
Experience with containerization tools like Docker
Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Bash, and Golang
Knowledge of database tools and infrastructure such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL
Knowledge of cloud native and DevOps best practices
Experience with multi-account application deployment
Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, ELK, or Splunk

Nice to Have

Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools
Familiarity with government certification processes for environments
Experience working in regulated or compliance-focused environments

Qualifications

Authorization to work in the United States
Ability to obtain secret/top secret US government clearance
