About the Role

We are seeking a talented Sr. DevOps Engineer to join an experienced DevOps team that drives automation across a wide range of app types including cloud, desktop, mobile, and web. The mission of this team is to relentlessly improve tooling around CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), cloud architecture, security, site reliability, test automation, and alerting/monitoring strategies. This position is based in Chicago with a hybrid work model or remote consideration. CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc. Key Responsibilities

Innovate on new ways to evolve our cloud infrastructure and support our product teams
Automate processes to improve operational posture and team agility
Build for reliability and scale across multiple technologies and platforms
Advance DevOps best practices

Requirements

2+ years' work experience as DevOps engineer or automation engineer
5+ years' work experience in engineering roles related to SaaS or mobile products
Advanced competency in AWS cloud PaaS/IaaS environments
Hands on experience developing pipelines with GitHub Actions, specifically deploying Java applications to EKS/Kubernetes platforms
Experience with automation tooling / languages / frameworks including GitHub, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Java
Understanding of cloud principles such as security, monitoring, log analytics, alerting, resource containers, IaC, and continuous delivery
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
Strong understanding of design patterns, especially in cloud architecture
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of logging, monitoring techniques, and tooling
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional work experience
Strong grasp of CS fundamentals and proficiency in multiple programming languages

Nice to Have

Experience working with Jenkins, Maven, Artifact Repository, Sonar, ArgoCD, Python, Shell Scripting, Linux, Terraform, Ansible, ELK Stack, AppDynamics, OpenTelemetry (Otel), Grafana, Postgres, NoSQL
