About the Role

The mission of the Engineering Enablement group is to empower engineers with the right tools and environments to excel, leveraging synergies across all DevOps and engineering activities. The team coordinates and provides visibility on key engineering experience initiatives, including DevOps transformation, CI/CD maturity, corporate build stack adoption, GitHub migration, GenAI for engineering experience, and other activities aimed at enhancing engineering excellence and driving innovation. The role involves shaping the engineering experience for over 800 developers across the AAO-ENG group, focusing on technical transversal projects such as DevOps transformation, CI/CD workflows, and cloud-native solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Identify areas for improvement in the developer experience through research and user feedback.
Design and implement solutions to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance developer productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering leadership, product managers, and platform teams to ensure successful project execution.
Stay up to date on the latest engineering trends and technologies and proactively identify opportunities for adoption.
Document processes and best practices to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain consistency.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in DevOps roles or similar.
Experience with source control management (SCM): GitHub, Bitbucket.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and its ecosystem, C++, or Python.
Knowledge of engineering practices including continuous integration (CI), coding style, SonarQube, Renovate.
Experience with cloud infrastructure such as Kubernetes, Azure, Google Cloud; AWS is a plus.
Familiarity with integrated development environments (IDEs) like Visual Studio Code, JetBrains, Eclipse.
Experience with CI/CD pipeline design using Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, or TeamCity.

Nice to Have

Experience with AWS cloud services.
Knowledge of Docker Desktop decommissioning and related activities.
Experience working on large-scale technical projects like DCS, AMS, Fast Data.
