Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate current CI pipelines and design new solutions leveraging AWS functions.
• Design, develop, and improve existing AWS environments by enhancing CloudFormation and Terraform scripts.
• Partner with development and architecture teams to improve development efficiencies and infrastructure design.
• Gather technical requirements to document features, stories, and high-level designs.
• Enhance existing Entitlements Server Pipelines to integrate automated end-to-end testing.
• Develop end-to-end designs leveraging AWS resources and microservices in Python/Java.
• Create CI solutions that improve automated testing in collaboration with automation teams.
• Implement industry and AWS best practices for deployment, monitoring, and alerting.
• Design and implement new CI/CD pipelines for projects and build system monitoring dashboards and KPIs.
• Develop system monitoring dashboards and KPIs, and create production monitoring across products.

Requirements

• Independent self-starting problem solver with a passion for developing DevOps solutions using various tools and techniques.
• Experience designing and deploying AWS solutions including EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Load Balancer, Auto Scaling groups, CloudFormation.
• Strong working knowledge of developing CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab Runner Pipelines and Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker container deployments and Kubernetes clustering.
• Proficiency with AWS networking, VPCs, and microservices architecture.
• Experience writing code in Python/Java, and working with RDB and/or MongoDB.
• Experience integrating tools such as GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Webex Teams, and Slack.
• Experience managing and deploying server releases to production environments.
• Knowledge of industry best practices for DevOps in cloud environments.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS CloudFormation and Terraform scripting.
• Experience with automated end-to-end testing integration into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration.
• Strong documentation, design, and communication skills.
• Willingness to mentor and advise other engineering team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in DevOps.
