About the Role

Toyota Financial Services, Enterprise Tools team, is seeking a highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to help our growing Enterprise tools needs. This position will be responsible for building world-class platform engineering for our development teams, focusing on automation, configuration management, and system reliability, ensuring seamless application deployment and performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and maintain technology initiatives within CI/CD Pipelines & Container platform domains.
  • Work with team members to implement technology solutions that enhance employer experience.
  • Keep up to date with industry best practices and contribute to technology improvements; implement best software practices including usability patterns, code style conformity, and testing.
  • Participate in technical decision making and provide expertise in implementation approaches.
  • Configure and support containerized applications (Java, Python, etc), ensuring seamless deployments and operations.
  • Introduce new frameworks to boost the team's productivity.
  • Support and contribute to self-service tools and platforms development.
  • Implement and maintain self-service capabilities and automation solutions.
  • Execute process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency.
  • Automate and integrate development and infrastructure processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Act as an evangelist and champion the DevOps culture, fostering a cultural shift in software delivery.
  • Design and develop tool chains for managing and applying DevOps principles, such as CI/CD automation and IaaC on cloud systems.
  • Define and implement development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations.
  • Provide technical guidance on automation best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native platforms and services using AWS or other cloud providers.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions, including configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Strong proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, Bash, or Groovy for automation and workflows.
  • Experience integrating containerization into CI/CD pipelines, including Docker image building, registry management, and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or AWS Fargate.
  • Experience in test-driven development (TDD) for automation, writing tests before implementing features.
  • Hands-on knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, EKS.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, and AWS CodeDeploy.
  • Experience automating provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cluster setup, configuration, and management of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, or AWS Fargate.
  • Knowledge of additional cloud services and automation tools not explicitly listed.
  • Experience with implementing scalable, reliable cloud-native solutions.

Qualifications
