About the Role

The Senior Director, Advanced Content Analytics & Forecasting at NBCUniversal is a leadership role responsible for leveraging a wide spectrum of data to influence content development, programming, forecasting, merchandising, and strategic decisions across NBCUniversal's brands, platforms, and entertainment studios. Reporting to the SVP of Advanced Content Analytics, this position involves leading bi-coastal teams in a highly visible, fast-paced environment to synthesize data, build analyses, data models, and customized data products that will have a tangible impact on the growth and success of Peacock and other content initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a source-of-truth for performance, merchandising and forecasting for all content on Peacock using a blend of descriptive & predictive analytics and utilizing a variety of datasets.
  • Develop powerful viewing KPI insights and estimates using SQL, Python, gAI tools and advanced analytical methods.
  • Identify and develop appropriate data solutions to advise key tactical and strategic decisions being made by various stakeholders such as Finance, Growth, Strategy, and Studios.
  • Lead the Peacock Content Forecasting team advising NBCU's content strategy, planning, and deal-making efforts.
  • Lead the Content Merchandising Analytics team helping operational leads to surface and exhibit content to customers in an optimal manner.
  • Spearhead Content Efficacy Analytics utilizing disparate datasets to build tools that help NBCU optimize content business efforts.
  • Partner with Data Science and other teams to build and utilize sophisticated data products for tracking performance dynamics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field such as Marketing, Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • 10+ years of data analysis, advanced analytical, and storytelling experience.
  • Ability to leverage SQL and Python to effectively query and analyze data.
  • Knowledge of Tableau and other data-visualization tools.
  • Ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical executives and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Video/TV/Streaming content enthusiast and conversant in viewing preferences and behaviors.
  • Proven success building and developing employees into star performers.
  • Experience with various gAI models and tools.
  • Experience using third-party data sets (e.g., Nielsen, Antenna, TalkWalker).
  • Team-oriented and collaborative with an aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong sense of curiosity, accountability, and ability to execute projects of all sizes with vision & purpose.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in an analytical field such as Marketing, Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • 10+ years of relevant data analysis and analytical experience.
