You will join the Global Publishing team within the Reach & Engagement function, supporting authors to develop impactful editorial products for diverse audiences. You will work with highly skilled colleagues worldwide to develop and publish content across digital and print platforms, engaging and inspiring through thought partnership and leadership. You will manage editorial publications and programs, coordinate with relevant groups, and ensure projects meet deadlines. You will act as a thought partner, working with senior consultants and experts to create publishing strategies, develop persuasive storylines, and write compelling drafts on topics related to the public and social sectors. You will shape content into various formats, review and edit for consistency and style, and communicate effectively with teams and leadership. You may support junior editors and engage in additional editorial projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage editorial publications and programs, coordinating with relevant publishing groups and stakeholders to ensure timely completion, approval, production, and publication of projects.
  • Act as a thought partner and service provider, working with senior authors to develop publishing strategies that align with firm objectives.
  • Develop persuasive storylines and write compelling drafts on business topics, focusing on the public and social sectors.
  • Shape content into various editorial products such as articles, white papers, reports, blog posts, podcasts, and videos.
  • Review and edit content to ensure it follows conventions of written English, maintains consistency of voice, tone, style, and aligns with firm guidelines.
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external teams and leadership to support an increasing volume of editorial projects.
  • Lead projects or workstreams independently or with a team, staying informed on business news, trends, and firm research.
  • Support entry-level and junior editors as part of career development and participate in additional ad hoc editorial projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/university degree; advanced degree in journalism is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in business writing and editing, including digital publishing, preferably for an English-language business publication or professional-services firm.
  • Deep understanding of global business trends and detailed knowledge of the public and social sectors.
  • Data literacy and familiarity with audience engagement tools such as SEO and social media.
  • Strong mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) and team share tools (SharePoint, Slack, Zoom).
  • Proficiency and fluency in verbal and written English; other language skills are a plus.
  • Excellent editorial skills, judgment, and business literacy, with the ability to absorb complex ideas and distill them into accessible copy.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
  • Confidence in interactions with senior staff and subject-matter experts, with the ability to achieve consensus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and industry knowledge to challenge content.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently in a low-structure environment, deal with ambiguity, and seek guidance proactively.
