About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and innovative full-stack Senior Developer for our Corporate Systems at LPL Financial. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing mission-critical business applications, including front-end development, back-end development, database integrations, user interface, user experience, and back-end server management. This role involves architecting, designing, and developing solutions to support our business partners, collaborating with teams, and ensuring high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions based on business needs.
  • Deep understanding of the latest technology stacks.
  • Design and build database objects.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders in architecture, data, product, and business areas to modernize platforms.
  • Collaborate with QA engineering, DevOps, and RM to ensure adherence to SDLC processes and Agile best practices.
  • Code and implement guardrails for frictionless delivery, enabling the team to build and own end-to-end applications and services.
  • Create solutions for complex challenges by examining assumptions, assessing evidence, and evaluating conclusions.
  • Measure success by outcomes and business impacts.
  • Provide technical leadership through the design and implementation of industry best practices aligned with LPL's modernization practices and SDLC.
  • Offer production support, maintain, troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing applications.
  • Ensure minimal disruption by covering service level agreements and contingency activities related to system/application availability.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in owning and driving full-stack applications as a hands-on software developer.
  • 5+ years of hands-on designing, developing, and implementing applications/services using .NET, C#, SQL Server, Node, Python, Angular, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, CSS.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with event-driven architectures/patterns.
  • 5+ years of related experience in financial services and technologies.
  • 5+ years of hands-on data modeling and database development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated and driven by achieving long-term business outcomes.
  • Capable of effectively planning, prioritizing, and executing tasks utilizing resources and tools.

Nice to Have

  • 2+ years of AWS working experience.
  • Experience with source control tools such as TFS, GIT, etc.
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendor or SaaS applications.
  • Experience with DevOps and software development lifecycle.
  • Experience working in Alteryx, Power BI, and Tableau.
