The Senior Enterprise Product Manager Commercial and Research and Development owns the digital product strategy, vision and product portfolio for the Assembly & Reporting unit within the CS IT Product Pipeline. This role involves developing scalable Velocity solutions designed for commercial users, enabling them to create, manage and capture data for Commercial Trials. You will also play a critical role in facilitating data-driven decision making by enhancing the positioning and visibility of the product performance. Senior Enterprise Product Managers own multiple or complex digital products from conception, through launch and retirement. Enterprise Product Managers bridge the technical and business worlds as digital products are designed that enable our key business objectives through collaboration with business strategy, data science and product delivery teams. The Senior Enterprise Product Manager develops the vision for the end-to-end experience of key critical personas, the digital product, the digital product strategy, and roadmap to execute upon the strategy of a complex ecosystem of data-driven field trial solutions to empower commercial stakeholders in crop science to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and contribute to the business strategy needs, the end user needs, market and competitive conditions and distill this into a digital product vision to design and deliver a differentiated offering often catering to multiple business units and having broad business impact.
  • Have a deep understanding of R&D and Commercial workflows and processes.
  • Have a deep understanding of key personas (e.g. farmer, retail partner, seed production), and interdependencies across products to deliver end-to-end experiences and value streams (business processes based on value).
  • Align people, processes, and technology to provide the optimal end-to-end experience and deliver the most value to the company.
  • Influence strategy and execution for multiple products, multiple workflows, multiple platforms, across multiple business units for digital products owned and managed by others to provide the most optimal end-to-end experience.
  • Lead and engage others in continuous discovery activities to evolve the digital product strategy to meet changing business needs or to leverage new technologies that will enhance the digital product and deliver better business outcomes.
  • Identify and partner closely with software engineers, data engineers, designers and other members of the digital product team to direct the development of the digital product considering dependencies of multiple digital products in the ecosystem.
  • Make decisions regarding the digital product roadmap and priority of items on the digital product backlog leveraging a deep understanding of the business and technical dependencies while balancing investments from multiple business units.
  • Responsible for the content and quality of the digital product releases, collaborating with Product Teams to establish a launch plan to ensure usage and adoption while balancing the needs of different user groups across multiple business units globally.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations by effectively communicating the product vision, strategy and roadmap to business partners and key business stakeholders.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is created to launch and support the digital product.
  • Monitor user feedback and metrics to create solutions and drive better user experience and business value.
  • Identify product management team improvements, mentor more junior Product Managers, and drive agile best practices to improve delivery.
  • Drive strategy and execution for end-to-end experience of key critical personas, multiple products, multiple workflows, multiple platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and experience as a product manager, business analyst or similar role, or years of equivalent industry experience or similar role.
  • Extensive experience in delivering and leading software solutions, with a strong background in both Commercial and R&D domains.
  • Experience in agile software delivery.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence working in a cross functional team, building relationships with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience in the business domain relevant to the digital product is desirable.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience as a product manager, business analyst or similar role, or minimum 14 years of equivalent industry experience or similar role.
  • 5+ years' experience in agile software delivery.
  • Experience in the business domain relevant to the digital product.

  • Educational background including a bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.

  • Salary between $129,338 - $194,007, with additional compensation such as bonus or commission if relevant.
