Key Responsibilities

Design and develop complex Java application architectures, ensuring low latency and high throughput.
Develop Java web applications using RESTful APIs with JAX-RS, JAVA, J2EE, EJB, Java Transaction, and JPA.
Consult with project teams and functional units on the design of important projects or services.
Support existing business systems applications and provide troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Utilize Java build and testing tools to ensure high-quality finished code.
Employ DevOps tools as part of the SDLC process.
Coach and lead less experienced IT staff and business managers.
Provide on-call support for production as needed.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in designing and developing complex Java application architectures.
8+ years of experience with Java web development, including RESTful APIs, JAX-RS, JAVA, J2EE, EJB, Java Transaction, and JPA.
6+ years of experience with Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
4+ years of hands-on experience in Kubernetes and container orchestrator platforms like OpenShift.
Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Math, or equivalent work experience, and/or equivalent military experience.

Nice to Have

Experience with Java internals, including garbage collection, application tuning, and Java dump analysis.
Experience with running Java on IBM mainframe.
Proficiency in Java build tools and DevOps tools.
Shell scripting experience.
Familiarity with Java application containers and testing tools for finished code.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Math, or equivalent work experience, and/or equivalent military experience.
