Senior Full Stack Java Engineer, Corporate Lending

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services provided to clients and employees.
• Apply a broad range of software engineering practices, including analyzing user needs, developing new features, automated testing, and deployment.
• Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by applying digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Build observability into solutions, monitor production health, resolve L3 incidents, and remediate root causes of risks and issues.
• Understand, represent, and advocate for client needs.
• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, assist with hiring, and contribute to engineering culture and internal communities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Ideally 10 years of experience in full stack Java development within the financial sector.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring (Container, MVC, JDBC, Boot).
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AKS, and Functions.
• Knowledge of container technologies like Docker.
• Experience with data streaming architecture (Kafka) or messaging systems (ASB, Tibco).
• Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle and Postgres.
• Client-side web technologies including JavaScript, React JS, JSON, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong communication skills, from making presentations to technical writing.
• Interest in learning new technologies and practices, reusing strategic platforms, and making sustainable decisions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with automated testing and deployment practices.
• Knowledge of additional financial or banking domain specifics.
• Experience with other cloud or container orchestration tools.
