About the Role

Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Unable to consider OPT or CPT candidates) at Volkswagen Group's ADMT division, responsible for developing autonomous mobility and transportation services. The role involves designing and building software modules for next-generation mobility solutions like MaaS, TaaS, Robo-Taxis, and Transporters, with opportunities to develop prototypes and production implementations. The position offers flexibility, collaborative environment, and the chance to work on innovative self-driving technology that aims to transform mobility globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance the robustness and resiliency of both existing and forthcoming micro services
  • Deliver User Interfaces atop Fleet Services, Trip Services, Map Services, Mission Control, Terminal Operations, Remote Operations, and Shared Services Infrastructure
  • Design, Architect and support a UI infrastructure that helps developer productivity and is highly scalable
  • Implement strong product quality, performance, and security practices using Jenkins, Terraform, and Kubernetes
  • Build multi-regional highly available highly scalable services in the cloud
  • Develop services in Java/Kotlin
  • Develop web user interfaces in React / Typescript
  • Interact with cross-geographical teams

Requirements

  • 7 - 10 years of experience in design, development, and prototyping of web-scale distributed systems
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following backend languages: Java, Kotlin, Python
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following frontend technologies: React, Typescript
  • Programming abilities in Kotlin, Java, and C++
  • Experience with backend technologies: Redis, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, SNS, SQS, ApacheMQ
  • Understanding of core Computer Science algorithms and data structures
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Istio
  • Experience building and maintaining REST and gRPC APIs with scalable authentication strategies
  • Experience deploying/managing infrastructure in AWS or GCP
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and enthusiasm to learn and apply new technology
  • Mentoring and developing engineers

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience working in an agile software environment
  • Experience using Machine Learning frameworks
  • Experience using Test Automation frameworks
