Senior Java Developer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture knowledge, and Design.
• Create high-level design artifacts and deliver high-quality code for modules.
• Lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address integration needs.
• Guide implementation teams across multiple time zones through technical solution implementation based on project plans.
• Work in a team within a diverse and multiple stakeholder collaborative environment.
• Participate in development and deployment to private/public cloud environments and utilize DevOps practices.
• Perform a techno-functional role by working with Business stakeholders, studying existing applications, and collaborating with IT Architects to define technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in lieu of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Experience in Java/J2EE, Restful APIs, Microservices.
• GitHub Co-pilot experience.
• Experience in Data structures and Algorithms.
• Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams to address integration needs.
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodology in software development.
• Hands-on role with a commitment to developing high-quality code quickly.
• Exposure to development and deployment in private/public cloud environments and DevOps practices.
• Ability to perform a techno-functional role, working with Business stakeholders and IT Architects.
• Strong communication skills via telephone, email, or face-to-face.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Nice to Have

• At least 7 years of experience in Java/J2EE, Restful APIs, Microservices.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Experience building complex systems with high volumes and high performance/throughput.
• Good on code coverage and unit testing.
• Good debugging skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty.
