Senior Java Developer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support Angular front-end and Java back-end components
• Build and maintain batch Java applications (no UI), primarily for overnight processing
• Develop one-off utilities to support internal team functions (e.g., archiving, monitoring queries)
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries; ensure efficient interaction with large data sets
• Create and modify SQL Server objects (tables, views, stored procedures)
• Manage code dependencies using Gradle
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily Scrum and sprint planning
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot issues in the development environment
• Write secure, high-quality, and testable code that complies with automated scanning tools and best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of full stack engineering experience
• Proficient in Angular for front-end development
• Strong Core Java development (non-web Java included)
• Advanced SQL querying and scripting
• Experience writing and supporting Java batch applications
• Familiarity with Agile methodology
• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities
