About the Role

The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Java-based web applications, working with various tools and technologies including Web Services, Drools, JBoss, Git, Maven, and AWS. This role is based onsite in Agoura Hills, CA or Plano, TX, and involves working in a collaborative environment to deliver high-quality software solutions. The position is a contract-to-hire opportunity requiring extensive experience in Java development and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Java-based web applications using core Java and Web Services.
Work with Drools or other rules engines to implement business rules.
Utilize JUnit for testing and ensure code quality.
Manage applications on JBoss Application Server.
Use Git and Maven for version control and build management.
Operate within a Linux environment.
Collaborate on projects involving AWS, SQL, and VS Code.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
10 years of experience in Java development, with strong expertise in core Java and Web Services.
5 years' experience with Drools/Red Hat Business Rules Management System or another rules engine.
Experience in web applications and JUnit testing.
Experience working with JBoss Application Server.
5 years' experience with Git and Maven.
Experience working in a Linux environment.
Experience with AWS, SQL, and VS Code.
