About the Role

Senior Java Full Stack Developer (Onsite) at Cognizant, located in McLean, VA. The role involves developing end-to-end projects using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, and Angular, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive workplace within a leading professional services company that transforms clients' business and technology models for the digital era.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver end-to-end projects utilizing Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Angular.
Develop functionalities using Java, J2EE, and related technologies.
Work with AWS services such as S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, Lambda, and CloudWatch in deployed applications.
Diagnose production issues and defects.
Collaborate effectively within Agile/Scrum development teams.
Learn new technologies and perform proof of concepts (POC) as needed.

Requirements

8+ years of Core Java development experience, familiar with Java 8 or higher.
Experience with Java development and awareness of Java patterns.
Proficiency in Java/Spring/Spring Boot stack.
Experience with AWS cloud technologies including ECS, Docker, Lambda, SNS/SQS, Kinesis, DynamoDB.
Knowledge of system design, performance engineering, scaling, and application security.
Experience with relational databases, schema design, and queries.
Experience with NodeJS, Angular, HTML, CSS for designing and developing rich, responsive user interfaces.

Nice to Have

Experience with Java 7 or higher.
Familiarity with Java patterns.
Knowledge of non-functional aspects like performance and security.

Qualifications

8+ years of Core Java development experience.
Experience with Java 7 or higher.
Experience and expertise in AWS and cloud technologies.
