Key Responsibilities

Drive the design and implementation of machine learning solutions for real-time bidding, ranking, and personalization in ads.
Design and implement the machine learning solutions that power the visual and text based search and discovery system to drive Roblox content distribution.
Design and implement large scale recommendation models.
Design and implement LLMs for visual understanding and natural language understanding.
Author specifications for new features and improvements.
Collaborate with other teams within Roblox to ensure products are built with a community-first approach.
Balance researching new technologies with a practical approach to incorporate research efforts into Roblox products.
Communicate with the industry and communities where applicable and serve as an ambassador for Roblox.

Requirements

7+ years of experience designing and building scalable machine learning solutions to solve NLU use cases (for principal level).
4+ years of experience in similar roles (for senior level).
Experience with transformer-based model training, inference, and product integration.
Ability to break down product requirements into iterative deliverable stages.
BS in Computer Science or a related discipline; advanced degrees are a plus.
Initiated and facilitated challenging technical decisions across multiple teams and organizations.
Deep technical understanding with a user-oriented approach.
Creative and strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas.

Nice to Have

Experience with developing auto-generated summaries, images, and videos from experience content.
Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Advanced degrees are a plus.

Annual salary range of $255,200 — $306,830 USD.
Eligibility for equity compensation.
