About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects.
• Lead and guide the work of technical staff.
• Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
• Provide ongoing dialogue between employees linking expectations, development planning, appraisals, and feedback.
• Perform overall end-to-end program software delivery.
• Conduct and facilitate the timely production of quality software.
• Develop, implement, and mature software engineering policies, standards, and procedures.
• Create and contribute to a positive and healthy team culture.
• Support legacy conventional platform programs.
• Establish accurate and timely estimates for tasks.
• Provide support in critical production support issue resolution.
• Support the team for application availability, reliability, and stability.
• Participate in root cause analysis on incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Work with the team to resolve production issues meeting or exceeding SLAs.
• Perform peer code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
• Collaborate to prioritize production issue resolution.
• Work with the Service Manager on process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field and completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis, or one year of experience involving leading and managing software engineering teams.
• Or no degree with two years of experience in the job offered or a related software engineering occupation.
• Experience leading and managing software engineering teams.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, Waterfall, Lean, or Hybrid Models.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Groovy, C++, or JavaScript.
• Experience with automation script development using Selenium and Cucumber frameworks.
• Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns like Scalability, Modularity, Resilience, Layered architecture, Microservices, or Event Driven Architecture.
• Experience managing large-scale software projects and delivering high-quality solutions.
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices with experience in continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with REST API standards and methodology.
• Experience managing the software development lifecycle.
• Understanding of software security and data privacy principles.

Nice to Have

• Experience with legacy system support.
• Experience working in a healthcare or large enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
• Two years of experience in leading software engineering teams or related roles.
