Senior Manager Software Engineering

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the application ownership, development delivery, and support for value streams.
• Manages a team including hiring, directing, mentoring, and assigning work.
• Manages software ownership and development from initial concept through continuous improvement.
• Coaches and mentors team members. Supports individuals to achieve their individual development goals.
• Utilizes Agile and Lean practices to identify and solve systemic issues.
• Utilizes tools to support data driven decision making.
• Identifies and removes blockers to enable the team to meet business goals.
• Consults with management in the analysis of short and long range business requirements and recommends innovations.

Requirements

• Bachelors in Information Technology or related field.
• 8+ years Application Development experience.
• 2+ years People Management experience.
• Primarily remain in a stationary position and operate office equipment such as computer, telephone, printer, and calculator.
• Ability to operate office equipment and perform duties primarily indoors in an office setting.

Nice to Have

• Agile, Scrum Master certification.
• Financial services experience.
• Experience developing enterprise applications in Cloud environment (AWS/OCP).
• Experience working with hybrid teams (Offshore/Onshore/Remote).
• Experience managing Offshore & Onshore contractor teams.
• Experience with React/Java/Open-source software.
• Experience implementing COTS software.
